🚀 REST API v2.3.8 is now live in Sandbox!

This release marks the beginning of the migration to the new Bakkt platform and documentation portal, while also introducing expanded currency support for 🇴🇲 OMR, 🇶🇦 QAR, 🇦🇪 AED, and 🇬🇹 GTQ, a new transaction-limits endpoint, and improved fee configuration by payment method.

🚨 Important Notice — Migration to docs.bakkt.com

Following Bakkt’s acquisition of DTR, we are beginning the migration to the new Bakkt domain and documentation portal.

⏰ Migration deadline: 15 July 2026

Existing endpoints, headers, and field names will remain supported until this date.

What This Means for You

  • The Onboarding API and Stablecoin API on the new Bakkt domain correspond to the APIs you already integrate with today
  • Additional API sections are now available on the new documentation portal
  • Existing integrations will continue working during the migration period

Key Changes

  • unblock-session-id → bakkt-session-id
  • /user/bank-account/unblock → /user/bank-account/bakkt
  • beneficiary_* → recipient_*

Please review the Naming Convention Updates changelog and begin migration planning as soon as possible.

💱 New Currency Support To Offramp

The following currencies are now supported:

  • 🇴🇲 OMR — Omani Rial
  • 🇶🇦 QAR — Qatari Riyal
  • 🇦🇪 AED — UAE Dirham
  • 🇬🇹 GTQ — Guatemalan Quetzal

🧮 Transaction Limits Endpoint

A new endpoint is now available to retrieve transaction limits before initiating transfers.

This allows integrators to validate limits earlier in the transfer flow.

💰 Fee Configuration by Payment Method

Merchant, corporate, and user fee configuration endpoints now support an optional payment_method field.

Improvements

  • Different fee structures can now be applied depending on the payment method used

Compatibility

⚠️ Existing fee configurations continue to work without modification when payment_method is omitted or set to null.
